In the early morning hours of January 22, 2011 Clark County deputies were summonsed to Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center where a male victim had just been admitted suffering from several laceration to the head and a gun shot wound to the hand. Deputies were told that the victim had just left his apartment located at Ghim's Village 1304 NE 88th Street in Vancouver.

Upon investigating, Detectives with the Clark County Major Crimes Unit discovered that the victim owed the suspects money for an outstanding drug debt. The victim had been "pistol whipped" several times and shot by one suspect, Armando Jorge Castillo-Munoz 30 years of age, of Vancouver, WA. The victim was able to identify Armando as well as two accomplices, Andrew Allan Wright 39 years of age of Vancouver and Nathan Joe Gadberry 38 years of age, of Vancouver.

Later that morning, Detectives responded to the 88th Street apartment. Due to the nature of the crime and the presence of counter surveillance equipment, a search warrant for the apartment was obtained and it was served at around 1100hrs by the Southwest Washington Regional SWAT team.

Later, detectives with the Career Criminal Apprehension Team (C-CAT), composed of detectives from the Clark County Sheriff's Office, Vancouver Police, Washington State Department of Corrections and the US Marshal were given the names of the suspects.

On January 25, 2011 members of C-CAT spotted Armando Jorge Castillo-Munoz walking near Harmony Elementary school. A foot pursuit ensued and Castillo-Munoz dropped a firearm which was later recovered. With help of Vancouver Police, the Clark County Sheriff's Office Tactical Detective Unit and members of the Clark County Sheriff's Office. Castillo-Munoz was apprehended after receiving a canine bite

Detectives with the Clark County Sheriff's Office and the Clark Skamania Drug Task Force then executed a search warrant at Castillo-Munoz residence at 2900 NE General Anderson #L-108, where they recovered approximately one ounce of tar heroin and another handgun.

On January 26, 2011 at around 1105hrs members of C-CAT were able to locate to Andrew Allan Wright 3418 E 18th #B Street. Wright ran out the back door of the residence and was apprehended by Vancouver Police and the Clark County Major Crimes Unit. Detective with the Clark County Major Crimes unit then executed a search warrant at this residence.

On January 27, 2011 C-CAT detectives developed information leading them to Goldendale, Washington. At around 1430hrs C-CAT officers were able to find Nathan Joe Gadberry at a residence. Members of C-CAT as well as officers from the Goldendale Police Department and deputies with the Klickitat County Sheriff's Office responded and surround a house located at 516 W Courts Street in Goldendale, WA. Gadberry eventually walked outside and was taken into custody without incident. He was booked in the Klickitat County Jail.

Armando Jorge Castillo-Munoz, Andrew Allan Wright, and Nathan Joe Gadberry are all in custody facing Assault I and Robbery I charges. Each has extensive criminal histories and all were wanted on other outstanding charges not related to the incident on January 22nd. We would like to acknowledge the hard work of each agency and units that assisted us in the apprehension of these dangerous felons. Without the tenacious work the C-CAT the safe capture of these individuals would have been delayed.
