MOLALLA - 3 VEHICLE COLLISION - 6 INJURED

Molalla- On 012711 @ 3:45pm a 3 car vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of W. Main St. (HWY 211) near Ona Way, Molalla. 6 people were injured in the collision. One of the injured was transport to a Portland area hospital by LifeFlight. The 5 other injured persons were transported to area hospitals by ground transportation. The severity of injuries is unknown.
Molalla Police is still investigating the crash.
Preliminary investigation information given to the investigating officers by witnesses is that one of the three vehicle's drivers failed to stop for a second vehicle that was waiting for oncoming traffic to pass so as to make left turn. The second vehicle then was moved into oncoming traffic, causing a third vehicle to go head-on into the second vehicle.
Driver and passenger information is not available at this time, and is not expected to be completely available until Friday (01/28/11) some time in the afternoon.
