FATAL TRAFFIC CRASH - HIGHWAY 211 EAST OF MOLALLA

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into Sunday afternoon's single vehicle fatal traffic crash on Highway 211 east of Molalla that resulted in the death of an 18-year old female. The highway is still closed while the investigation continues
Preliminary information indicates on January 23, 2011 at approximately 4:45 p.m. a Ford F350 pickup driven by the victim was southbound on Highway 211 near milepost 16 when, for an unknown reason, it traveled across the northbound lane, off the highway and struck a power pole. The pickup came to rest next to a driveway where its driver was pronounced deceased.
OSP troopers from the Portland Area Command office are continuing the investigation. Initial next of kin notification has been done but to allow the family more time to make other notifications her name will be released Monday morning.
Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Molalla Police Department, Molalla Fire Department and the Clackamas County Medical Examiner are assisting.
