DISTURBANCE/SUICIDE

On January 18th, 2011 at approximately 4:10 p.m. deputies were dispatched to 23100 NE Schauer Drive on a report of a domestic disturbance. Initial information was that a gun had been discharged, but no injuries were sustained. The individual left the residence on foot, armed with a gun. Prior to leaving the residence he made comments that led the reporting person to believe he was suicidal.
Members of the Southwest Washington S.W.A.T. Team responded and began conducting a search for the individual. He was located and found deceased, from what appeared to be a self inflicted gun shot wound.
The individual was an off duty law enforcement officer. His name and agency are not being released at this time.
No further information is being released at this time pending family and agency notifications.
