On Wednesday, January 26, 2011 Hanh Huu Nguyen, 19, agreed to meet with a person advertising a Playstation 3 electronic game for sale on Craig's list. During this arranged meeting Wednesday afternoon on SE Sunnyside Road, the person who presented the Playstation 3 for sale accepted the $250.00 cash offer, then abruptly and forcibly fled the scene while retaining possession of the electronic game and acquired cash.
Hanh Huu Nguyen spotted and became interested in purchasing a Playstation 3 game advertised for sale on Craig's list. Hanh contacted the advertising seller on Craig's list and arranged to meet for an opportunity to purchase near SE 82nd Avenue and SE Sunnyside Road, in Clackamas.
On this occasion the presumed seller of the game (The Suspect) arrived at this meeting site with an additional person situated in the rear seat of a vehicle described as a 1994, Mitsubishi, 4-dr, Gallant, white in color.
Hanh Nguyen reports he extended by hand his $250.00 cash for the game to the driver of this vehicle, in exchange for the desired purchase of this game. At this time, the driver gave the money to the rear seat passenger and attempted to drive away from the scene.
Hanh explained he was half-in and half-out of this speeding vehicle as it traveled some 30-40 mph through a parking lot. An independent witness reported to Deputies he saw the vehicle dragging the victim about 50 – 100 feet prior to being thrown from this speeding vehicle. As a result, Hanh received multiple cuts, bruising, a large bump and laceration on the back of his head – medical attention was declined by the victim at the scene.
Clackamas County Sheriff's Patrol personnel received the broadcast suspect vehicle description and stopped this occupied suspect vehicle minutes later on SE Trilva Jean Court and SE Hill Road, in Oak Grove.
As a result of this criminal investigation conducted by Deputies, both the money and Playstation 3 game were located and seized as evidence from the interior of this described suspect vehicle.
A suspect in this alleged crime -- identified as the driver -- was arrested at the scene and is believed responsible for this reported robbery event. This suspect arrested at the scene was transported to the Clackamas County Jail and lodged with a charge of robbery in the first-degree.
This apprehended and lodged robbery suspect is identified as: Randon Allen Sims, 21, with a residential address provided on NE Church Street, in Portland.
Randon Sims is scheduled to appear for arraignment on this matter (Today) Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in Clackamas County Circuit Court, Oregon City. (Photo Attached)
