OSP FISH & WILDLIFE DIVISION SEEKING TIPS TO SOLVE ILLEGAL BULL ELK KILL IN LANE COUNTY

Oregon State Police (OSP) Fish & Wildlife Division troopers from the Springfield Patrol Office are asking for the public's help to identify the person(s) responsible for the illegal killing of a bull elk shot in the Mosby Creek area near Cottage Grove. A reward of up to $500 is being offered by the Oregon Hunters Association Turn in Poacher (TIP) reward program for information leading to an arrest in this case.
Preliminary investigation by Trooper Ed Imholt indicates the crime happened on or about August 2, 2010. The bull elk was killed and the head and meat was taken.
