HAZEL DELL WOMAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT IN THE 1ST DEGREE - DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

On Tuesday, August 3rd at approximately 5:52 PM Clark County Sheriff's Deputies responded to assist medical units with an injured person at 10804 NE Hwy 99 space #61. Upon arriving deputies found a male subject lying unconscious inside the residence. There was a large amount of blood coming from his head and he appeared to be suffering from a massive head injury. He was transported to the Southwest Washington Medical Center for treatment. The victim was identified as Todd Proetel.

The Sheriff's Office Tactical Detective Unit was called out to investigate further. After witness interviews and crime scene processing, it was determined that Michelle Hawn, the girlfriend of Todd Proetel, was the suspect in this assault and there was probable cause to arrest her for Assault in the 1st degree – Domestic Violence. Hawn allegedly used a vacuum cleaner to hit Proetel in the head several times causing massive head trauma.

Proetel is listed in critical condition and has not regained consciousness.

Hawn was booked into the Clark County Jail for one count of Assault I / Domestic Violence.

Arrested - Michelle D. Hawn age 37
