ODOT/Valley, No. Coast: All lanes of I-5 southbound at milepost 267 (9 miles north of Salem) are blocked by smoke from a roadside fire. No ETA available for reopening. Backup is likely to grow fast; southbound drivers not yet in the area should avoid I-5 for the time being.
Northbound traffic is not yet significantly affected, but this could change at any time.
Updates will be issued when new information is available.
