EVACUATION SHELTER OPENED IN SISTERS

A wild fire south of Sisters, Oregon has resulted in the Mountain River Chapter of the Red Cross opening an evacuation shelter located at Sisters Elementary School (611 E. Cascade). The shelter, being opened in anticipation of the possible evacuation of 50 homes, is currently scheduled to be open through the night.
