UPDATE: NAME RELEASED - DEATH INVESTIGATION - INTERSTATE 5 / CANYONVILLE

A 59-year old Idaho man died from an apparent heart attack Friday morning while driving his commercial truck northbound on Interstate 5 in the Canyonville area. The man's name is being released following completion of next of kin notification.

On June 11, 2010 at 9:22 a.m. Oregon State Police (OSP) Trooper Dan Wells responded to a reported commercial vehicle crash in the center median northbound Interstate 5 near milepost 99. Upon arrival, a commercial truck pulling a semi-trailer was stopped in the center median with no apparent damage. Douglas County Fire District #2 ambulance personnel were on scene giving CPR to the truck's driver who was subsequently transported to Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg. FRANK R. FORSYTH, age 59, from Marsing, Idaho was pronounced deceased at the hospital about an hour later.

FORSYTH was driving for Motorwest Inc. out of Caldwell, Idaho.

The OSP Roseburg Area Command office will be completing the investigation with the assistance of the Douglas County Medical Examiner.
