UPDATE #2: FLORENCE SHOTGUN ASSAULT SUSPECT IN CUSTODY (MORE INFO LATER TODAY)

VICTOR GLEN CARON, age 46, wanted in connection with Sunday morning's assault with a shotgun against two people at a residence south of Florence turned himself in Tuesday morning at the Lane County Sheriff's Office Veneta substation. An Oregon State Police detective is conducting further follow-up investigation and will be lodging CARON in the Lane County Jail. More information will be provided late this afternoon.
