Last Friday, June 4th, every single student at Trost Elementary School, 400 in total, participated in a Jog-a-thon to support their PTA. The children were divided into two teams, one named Team Marquez (Principal Marquez), and the other Team Rose (School Superintendant). The contest was quite simple; the team who ran the most laps in one hour and or raised the most money would get to squash a pie in the loosing Team Captains face. As with all good contests, Canby Fire "Upped the Ante", and as a Grand Finale, Canby Fire will bring out a full sized fire engine, and the children will get to help clean up the loosing Team Captain after they take the Pie in the Face, by hosing them down with a real fire hose (safely and sanely, of course). The event is currently scheduled to occur at 11:00 AM on Friday June 11th. Media is not only welcome, but encouraged to attend this fun filled activity, helping the children celebrate a great year of school, but more importantly, demonstrating t
