SERIOUS INJURY TRAFFIC CRASH - HIGHWAY 26 EAST OF SANDY (PHOTOS)

Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into the cause of a serious injury two-vehicle crash Saturday morning on Highway 26 just east of Sandy.
According to OSP Trooper Mike Reel, on June 12, 2010 at approximately 6:20 a.m. a 1999 Mercury Sable driven by CAMERON TREMAIN, age 20, from Sandy, was westbound on Highway 26 near milepost 26. According to witnesses, the Mercury Sable drifted over the center line into eastbound lanes, traveling about a quarter mile before colliding head-on with an eastbound 2011 Ford F350 pickup driven by DAVID FARWELL, age 52, from Gresham.
TREMAIN was extricated by Sandy firefighters and transported by AMR ambulance to Oregon Health Sciences University with serious injuries.
FARWELL and an unnamed passenger were not injured.
Safety restraint use information not available for this release.
OSP was assisted at the scene by Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Sandy Police Department, Sandy Fire Department and ODOT.
The highway was partially blocked for about two hours.
