Two people were uninjured Tuesday afternoon when their plane received minor damage attempting a touch-and-go landing on the snow-covered Chiloquin Airport runway.

According to Trooper Aaron Boyce, on January 1, 2013 at approximately 3:15 p.m., a Cessna 182 attempted a touch-and-go landing at Chiloquin Airport on the runway which was closed due to about 18 inches of piled up snow. As the airplane's wheels touched ground, it dug into the snow and the 31-year old pilot, BRETT HOPPER, couldn't pull the plane back up as he lost control. The wings and nose of the plane hit the ground damaging the prop and wings.

The pilot and 34-year old male passenger were not injured.
