PUBLIC'S HELP SOUGHT TO FIND TWO PORT ORFORD-AREA ASSAULT SUSPECTS (PHOTOS)

Oregon State Police (OSP), with the assistance of Curry County-area law enforcement agencies, is asking for the public's help to locate two men suspected of assaulting a 49-year old man Friday night at Paradise Point State Park north of Port Orford.
According to OSP Sergeant Andy Kenyon, on January 11, 2013 at approximately 2:30 a.m., the seriously injured victim was found by uninvolved persons who called Curry County 9-1-1. Officers from OSP, Curry County Sheriff's Office, Brookings Police Department, and Port Orford Police Department responded to the scene along with emergency medical personnel.
Initial investigation determined the victim was assaulted by two known suspects with a baseball bat. The men were accompanied by an adult female who is not believed to have been an active participant during the assault. The two suspects sought by police are identified as GLENN ALLEN BURKHOW JR, age 32, and ALLEN DOUGLAS VONNEVIN, age 33, both from Port Orford.
Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is asked to call Curry County 9-1-1 or OSP Southern Command Center dispatch at (541) 776-6111.
The victim's name is withheld at this time. He was transported to a local hospital and then transferred by air ambulance to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend. His injuries are non-life threatening.
Curry County District Attorney's Office is assisting law enforcement with this investigation.
