ODOT: Valley, No. Coast: Motorists this morning are encountering a variety of different kinds of icy conditions that are making driving a challenge. Numerous crashes have been reported in the mid-Willamette Valley because of moisture that froze over night and created black ice, and freezing fog at various locations. Motorists should consider delaying travel until later in the morning, if possible. If they can't, motorists should:
--Go to TripCheck.com for the latest road conditions before leaving;
--Leave plenty of time to get to their destination;
--Slow down and adjust their driving to the road conditions;
--Increase the distance from vehicles in front of you.
--Expect delays
