195 impaired drivers were taken off the road

"Drive Sober or get Pulled over" The Holiday impaired driving emphasis Nov. 21-Jan. 1, 2013 resulted in 195 drivers arrested for driving while impaired in Clark County. The entire state of Washington, during the same period arrested 3,446 impaired drivers.

Several Law Enforcement agencies participated in the emphasis including Clark County Sheriff's Office, Washington State Patrol, Vancouver Police, Battle Ground Police and Camas Police all participated in this emphasis patrol.

Strict enforcement of impaired driving laws combined with public education is a proven method for reducing fatalities and serious injury crashes.

Extra patrols make the roadways safer for everyone. These efforts are part of Washington's Strategic Highway Safety Plan to reduce traffic fatalities to zero by the year 2030.

The Clark County Target Zero Traffic Safety Task Force organizes and supports this enforcement effort.
