Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers, ODOT and Cascade Locks Fire Department are on scene of Saturday evening's two vehicle traffic crash along the westbound lanes of Interstate 84 near Dodson that resulted in unknown injury to an adult female. One lane is blocked until the scene investigation is over and vehicles removed.
According to Sergeant Andy McCool, preliminary information indicates on December 29, 2012 at approximately 7:10 p.m., a vehicle became disabled due to a flat tire partially on the left westbound shoulder and left lane along Interstate 84 near milepost 36. A second vehicle stopped on the right shoulder to assist the disabled vehicle and its occupant got out to try to help. A third westbound vehicle swerved from the left lane to avoid the disabled vehicle and collided into the second unoccupied vehicle on the right shoulder.
An adult female passenger in the third vehicle was transported to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland for treatment of unknown injuries. No the injuries were reported.
No additional information or photographs anticipated for release tonight. OSP troopers were also initially assisted at the scene by Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.
