Gresham Police Investigate Stabbing on MAX Platform: Update


Gresham, Ore. - On Dec. 19, 2014 at 10:41 pm, Gresham Police responded to the report of a fight on the TriMet MAX platform at SE 188th Ave. and E Burnside St.

Police arrived on scene and located a subject with multiple stab wounds. The victim was identified as Christopher Schneider, 27, of Gresham. At the time of this release, Schneider is still in critical condition.

The suspect, Wayne Roberts, 50, of Portland, was located near the scene and taken into custody. He was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center for Assault in the first degree. The investigation is on-going and no other information is being released at this time.

Detectives are asking for assistance in locating anyone who may have witnessed the incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Gresham Police at 503.618.2719.
