TWO PEOPLE DECEASED AFTER DOMESTIC DISPUTE

On November 27th, 2014 around 00:30 hrs, The Sherwood Police Department responded to the 17900 block of Cereghino Ln. on a reported assault with a weapon.
Initial reports indicated a female had escaped a residence after suffering a gun shot wound. The female sought help at a nearby neighbor's residence.
The Sherwood Police were able to evacuate the injured woman to a waiting ambulance. The female sustained non-life threatening injuries and is recovering at a local hospital.
Officers were advised a male and female were still inside the residence. Officers from multiple jurisdictions responded to assist with containment of the area.
Washington County's Tactical Negotiation Team responded to assist in contacting the subjects at the residence.
After a few hours of failed attempts to contact anyone inside, entrance was made into the residence where the male subject was found deceased.
An adult female was found outside the residence also deceased. Both the male and female appeared to have died from gun shot wounds.
All three individuals knew one another, the male and deceased female were living together at the home.
There is no concern for the safety of the community as a result of this incident.
Names of the individuals are not being released pending death notification of next of kin.
Washington County Major Crimes Team is leading the investigation. Based on the preliminary investigation it appears to be a murder/suicide.
It is believed this incident resulted from a domestic dispute.
