Highway 99E South of Aurora Temporarily Closed Following Single Vehicle Crash

HIGHWAY 99E SOUTH OF AURORA TEMPORARILY CLOSED FOLLOWING SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH

Highway 99E betweeen Highway 551 and Aurora is temporarily closed after a vehicle drove into a ditch and damaged a natural gas line. Aurora Fire Department and Oregon State Police are on scene and the natural gas company has been contacted to respond to repair the gas line leak.

On December 22, 2012 at approximately 6:00 a.m. a passenger car traveled off the highway into a ditch and the driver left the scene before fire and police personnel arrived. A detour is set up for traffic during the closure. As a precaution, fire personnel have contacted some local residents informing them of the gas line leak.
