NEWS RELEASE (Photos Attached)

The neighbors suspected it, could smell it and knew they had to do something about it. And and so they did, by calling the Happy Valley Police to report their uncomfortable suspicions concerning the stately - yet uncomfortable - residential address of 9715 SE Nicholas Drive, in Happy Valley.

Those suspicions were soon confirmed Thursday, May 5th, 2011 at approximately 4:15 p.m. when Happy Valley Police, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Deputies and members of the Clackamas County Inter Agency Task Force converged on the residence to execute a search warrant at the Nicholas Drive address.

Prior to the execution of the search warrant on Thursday, Happy Valley Police attempted contact with the occupants at the home, but those occupants inside the home at the time refused to answer with Happy Valley Police present at the front door of this lavish home.

As law enforcement personnel converged at the residence on Thursday, young children were busy playing basketball on this quiet cul-de-sac that is surrounded by a number of well manicured, maintained and impressive homes.

Concerned and conscientious homeowners had become increasingly alarmed with the suspicious activity detected at the home, and especially with all those unknown peculiar people coming and going through their peaceful neighborhood.

Investigators, equipped with a search warrant entered the unoccupied home and were immediately repulsed by the stench of animal feces, urine and garbage waste that covered the complete interior of the luxury home.

Happy Valley Police Officer (CCSO Deputy) Marc Griffith witnessed and reports the interior of the residence was severely destroyed with the presence of (2) two pit-bull type dogs present and abandoned inside the residence with no food or water - for perhaps as long as seven days -when the known occupants were last observed by neighbors departing the residence in a U-Haul truck. The animals destroyed the furniture by defecating and urinating on all carpeting, and even into the bathroom shower area.

The garage of the residence was discovered with an enormous amount of rotting garbage; which attracted a swarm of black flies and created an over whelming, eye-watering odor.

Of course, the house was found to have two grow rooms for the cultivation of marijuana. The rooms were equipped with the typically hazardous self-wired electrical systems installed necessary for the growing of marijuana indoors.

As a result of the search warrant executed at the residence, law enforcement personnel seized all the associated marijuana grow equipment, packaging materials and at least 10 pounds of harvested and dried marijuana.

Two persons of interest - a male and a female - are associated with the renting of the home, and investigators will continue the ongoing investigation surrounding the discovered grow operation.

One person of interest is identified as Jacob Matthew Ingmire, age 30, (Photo Attached); who is believed to have rented the home with his female companion identified as Adrienne Hasler, 21. The investigation continues. Ingmire is reported to have a substantial criminal drug history established in the state of Washington.

Happy Valley Police are presently caring for the abandoned animals and monitoring the home while the code enforcement officers pursue their aspect of the ongoing investigation. In the event the owners of the animals are not contacted, the animals will be delivered to the Clackamas County Animal Shelter.

Neighbors who reside in the neighborhood were expressing their sincere gratitude to all those investigators involved as all seized evidence was being removed from the premises.

And, once again, yet more safely...the basketball games continued.
