PUBLIC MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR LAKE OSWEGO POLICE CHIEF DAN DUNCAN

A formal memorial service to honor the life of Lake Oswego Police Chief Dan Duncan, his family and the public safety community will be on Friday, June 4, 2010. The service will commence at 1:00 p.m. at Rolling Hills Community Church located at 3550 SW Borland Road, Tualatin. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. The service is open to the public. As this is a formal police service, it will include an Honor Guard made up of multiple agencies, an Honor Watch, a Corridor of Honor and 21 Gun Salute.

Following the memorial service the community is invited to attend a reception held at the Church from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Immediately following the service, a procession of public safety vehicles will travel from the Church and through Lake Oswego. Public Safety members are invited to participate in the procession which will return to Rolling Hills Community Church to join the reception in progress.

The route of procession will be advertised so as to assist in traffic management and allow citizens to share in the passing of Chief Duncan in our community. Additional details regarding the memorial service, donations and route of the procession will be forthcoming.
